We then invite you to explore our historic wineries. We will introduce you to our sustainable production methods and share the stories behind our famous Lacryma Christi. This is more than a tour; it’s an authentic encounter with the soul of Mount Vesuvius wine.
Our experience culminates in a spectacular tasting session. You will pair our wines with the typical specialties of this corner of paradise on the slopes of Vesuvius. Your journey of taste begins with the Antipasto del Vesuvio, featuring local provolone cheese, casatiello, salami, and prosciutto, alongside bruschetta with “del piennolo” cherry tomatoes. We serve these delicacies with a tasting of our Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco DOP, Rosato, and Rosso. Next, enjoy a first course of typical durum wheat spaghetti with a fresh sauce made from “del piennolo” tomatoes. You will perfectly pair this pasta with a tasting of our rich Lacryma Christi Riserva. This is the heart of your Vesuvius wine tasting.
To conclude your feast, savor a traditional Neapolitan pastiera, a classic dessert served with our crisp Capafresca Spumante Rosato and sweet Passito Bianco IGT. This carefully crafted menu is designed to highlight the unique flavors of the region and celebrate the excellence of our Mount Vesuvius wine. We also offer menus for celiacs, vegetarians, and vegans upon request. Please let us know of any dietary needs a couple of days in advance so we can prepare for you. The tour starts at 12:00 PM and lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. It includes a vineyard walk, winery tour, and a guided wine and food tasting.
Transportation is not included in the tour, but we’ll be happy to provide directions or help arrange a private transfer upon request.
Absolutely! While wine is a big part of the experience, the food, landscape, and atmosphere are enjoyable for everyone. You can still participate in the tasting with non-alcoholic options available upon request.
You’ll taste a selection of our Lacryma Christi wines—Bianco, Rosato, Rosso—and also enjoy our Riserva and dessert wines like Spumante Rosato and Passito Bianco IGT.
The tour is family-friendly, but please note that there is a short walk through the vineyards on uneven terrain. Let us know in advance if you need special assistance.
